Car ramps can be good for oil changes if you use them correctly and safely. Car ramps can raise your car to access the undercarriage of the car for changing the oil. They are safer and easier to use than alternative methods such as jack or jack stands. However, you should always follow some precautions when using car ramps for oil changes, such as:

Park your car on a solid level surface before placing the ramps.
Raise your vehicle on ramps cautiously and slowly, making sure they are aligned with your tyres.
Use wheel chocks or blocks to prevent your car from rolling back.
Check your owner’s manual for the location of the drain plug, oil filter, and oil fill cap.
Unscrew the drain plug and let the old oil drain into a container.
Remove the old oil filter and replace it with a new one, applying some fresh oil to the gasket/seal.
Add new oil according to your car’s specifications and check with a dipstick.
