The MHS050 VHF Radio by Uniden has been designed and engineered in Japan specifically for our rough Australian conditions. With its extended range, crystal clear audio, large backlit LCD display for easy viewing at night or in low light situations, this unit is perfectly suited for all boating and marine applications. The MHS050 also allows you to switch between 1 watt output, to preserve the life of the battery and 2.5 watt output, which provides maximum transmission power.
The MHS050 is also equipped with triple watch mode which monitors emergency channel 16 and channel 9 simultaneously for a signal, while at the same time allowing you to listen to the selected channel. The floating, waterproof radio hand piece with built in antenna is perfectly suited for marine use, and will get you out of trouble if dropped overboard and is certified to meet the world standard JIS8 waterproof level. Equipped with a table-top drop-in charger allowing you to conveniently charge your unit.
