For those who have been making repairs or maintenance to their vehicle that has required movement or removal of the distributor, a timing light like the ToolPRO Inductive Xenon Timing Light is an important tool in order to align the ignition timing perfectly. This timing light is designed for older styles of vehicles that use a distributor as opposed to a crank angle sensor and coil packs. Simply connect the red clip to the positive terminal of the battery and the black to a strong earth, the inductive pick up slips over the ignition lead for cylinder 1 with the arrow pointing along the lead towards the spark plug.
