Just like a car, an air compressor requires regular maintenance to ensure proper operation and a long life. Apart from changing the oil, one of the most important things to remember to replace on an air compressor is the air filter, a small but vital component of any compressor. This replacement air filter is suitable for all Blackridge ‘direct-drive' air compressors, along with a majority of direct drive air compressors from other leading manufacturers. This particular replacement air filter is designed with a small paper filter, and is designed to be replaced after every 50 hours of use, or more often in dustier conditions. A weekly cleaning routine is also good to establish with the air filter, as it may reduce the load on the compressor during operation, and prolong the life of the filter in some circumstances.
This particular product includes a Blackridge air filter element, along with a new oil breather to ensure good performance of the compressor. However, this package does not include the air filter housing. These housings are also available with a new air filter.
